Baseball Australia Stands Strong Against Domestic Violence at 2025 Championships

Since 2015, Baseball Australia has been a committed partner in the campaign to end domestic and family violence, supporting NO MORE's mission to create safer, stronger communities across the country.
This year, the Australian Women's and Youth Women's Baseball Championships in Altona, Victoria, hosted a powerful NO MORE Day, a celebration of unity, respect, and share responsibility.
In a vibrant display of solidarity, players, umpires, and scorers took the field wearing NO MORE sweatbands, orange caps, and badges. Their collective presence made a striking visual statement against violence. Baseball Australia staff also joined in, donning orange and promoting the message through ground announcements and live broadcast coverage.
A standout moment of the day was the presentation of the Spirit of the Game Awards. Thirteen individuals, one player from each team, an umpire, and a scorer were recognised for their embodiment of fair play, respect, and community values. Among them was Emma Reid, whose story reached an even wider audience through a radio interview with NO MORE Founder Dr Charlie King AM.
Further demonstrating the spirit of the event, the Victorian Youth Team generously donated funds raised through their own t-shirt sales, showing how grassroots initiatives can contribute to the broader campaign.
The day also saw active community engagement through the NO MORE Digital Pledge Board, where players and spectators committed to taking action against family violence.
NO MORE Day at the 2025 Championships was a powerful reminder that change starts with small actions. You can still take the pledge here or donate to support our work here.
Together, we say NO MORE to domestic and family violence.
