Join NO MORE for THE STAND: 90 DVAPs in 90 Days Community Workshops

NO MORE is inviting people across the Northern Territory to be part of THE STAND - a bold new initiative aiming to create 90 Domestic Violence Action Plans (DVAPs) in 90 days. Through free, practical, and engaging workshops, we're supporting communities to take real steps towards ending domestic and family violence (DFV).

Domestic and family violence remains one of the most pressing challenges we face. The NT continues to have some of the highest rates of DFV in the country. Behind every statistics is a person,  a family, a community impacted and together we can help prevent this harm.

THE STAND calls on sporting clubs, workplaces, community groups, businesses and organisations to create and commit to a DVAP. A DVAP is more than just a document. It might be a yarning cirlce, a team policy, a healing space, a cultural program or a training commitment. What matters is that it is meaningful to your group and leads to real change.

What to expect in the workshop:

Participants will:

  • Gain an introduction to domestic and family violence - what drives it, including gender inequality, trauma, colonisation, and harmful social norms
  • Understand why the NT is uniquely impacted, and why community-led actions is the key for change.
  • Explore how to get involved in THE STAND Initiative.
  • Begin shaping a DVAP that reflects your group's values, needs, and strengths.

No matter who you are a footy club member, part of a workplace, a youth service, a remote women's centre or any community group you have a role to play in ending violence and building safer, more respectful environments.
