NO MORE at the Katherine Show

The NO MORE team was proud to represent CCNT at the Katherine Show Rodeo over the weekend, supporting a community initiative that reinforced the message that preventing domestic, family and sexual violence is everyone's responsibility.

NO MORE was highly visible throughout the rodeo, with Pick-Up Riders and several rodeo riders wearing NO MORE logos and NO MORE banners displayed around the arena, helping to raise awareness of the importance of standing together to prevent violence.

Representing CCNT, Rob Cross delivered a speech highlighting the importance of saying NO MORE to domestic and family violence, and the shared responsibility we all have in creating safer communities. His address reinforced the campaign's core message that preventing violence starts with recognising the signs, speaking up, supporting one another, and taking action before harm occurs.

This initiative was developed through the Communities for Children Committee (CCC) as part of THE STAND campaign and its commitment to practical, community-led action to prevent domestic and family violence across the Big Rivers region.

The role of the Pick-Up Riders provided a powerful reminder of what it means to stand up for others. Just as they watch closely and step in quickly to keep riders safe, NO MORE encourages everyone to recognise the signs, back your mates, and intervene early. Preventing violence is everyone's business.

Together, we continue to raise awareness, strengthen partnerships, and support safer communities across the Big Rivers region.
