Tracy Village Leads The Way in Preventing Domestic and Family Violence

Tracy Village Cricket Club has taken a powerful step forward in the movement to end domestic and family violence, becoming the first club in the 2025 Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition to develop and launch their Domestic Violence Action Plan.
What's in the Plan?
Tracy Village's Domestic Violence Action Plan is more than a policy document, it's a commitment to action. It includes strategies to challenge harmful attitudes, support equality, and create a safe space for all club members.
Key actions in their Domestic Violence Action Plan include:
✅ Promoting awareness by displaying signage and using social media to share NO MORE messages
✅ Providing education and training for players, coaches, and staff on respectful relationships and bystander action
✅ Appointing club ambassadors who lead by example and support cultural change
✅ Championing equality, with a focus on equal opportunities for women and men
✅ Encouraging inclusive language and respectful communication in coaching and club settings
✅ Challenging harmful stereotypes and embracing diversity within the club environment
These actions reflect a deeper understanding: domestic and family violence doesn’t start with physical harm, it starts with attitudes and behaviours. Clubs like Tracy Village are stepping up to challenge those behaviours early, in spaces where people feel connected and supported.
Sport Has the Power to Lead Change
NO MORE is proud to work alongside clubs like Tracy Village who are showing that preventing violence is everyone's business. Sport reaches across generations, cultures and communities and when clubs take a stand, it sends a message that violence, disrespect and inequality are never acceptable. Tracy Village's leadership shows what's possible when clubs step and say no, "NO MORE." Their action plan is a model for others to follow.
Who Will be Next?
Tracy Village has set the stand, now is time for others to follow. Which will be next to commit to building a safer, more respectful future?
